HORIZON 2020
What did we get up to this year!?
This 2020 Horizon course got off to a great start with 12 new students, all in recovery from addiction coming together in our Brighton studio. However, lockdown's forced our course to close after week two and we switched to online support and online workshops.

In person - Week 1 was about photography, and Chris Green from Studio 75 came in to share the fundamentals in photography.
​
Students were encouraged to photography in the city of Brighton - take a look at some of their work in our gallery!
Headshots
Chris took the group through how to take an efective headshot on your mobile phone - check out different students shots of the same person!

With vivid and different effects, we think these photos are stunning!

HORIZON 2020
HORIZON -Drama
Kate - our drama coach
Kate gets us started on sparking creative story ideas. Kate has a talent for getting our creative juices flowing and week two was about starting a story idea, no mattter how small the acorn of an idea... the whole group came up with so many stories, we now don't know where to start!
Group work
Storyboarding ideas come from a point of trust within the group - here's our groups working on each others story ideas and making them bigger and better!
HORIZON -Film

Students were able to take a subject, film and edit some of these stunning and thought provoking films, with skills learned from Horizon course 2020.

To conclude...
It's been a tough year! But we have achieved so much - with thanks always to our funders, The National Lottery Community fund, none of this would have been possible.
